Life is certainly more crazy lately. Faith is crawling all over now!!! It is exciting, but it is also much more difficult to get anything done during the day when she is awake. She is starting to get into everything. And of course, everything she finds has to go into her mouth. Yesterday she discovered the plants in the living room. I don't think they'll last much longer where they are, but I'm not sure where to move them.
Grace wanted to hold Faith. This has become more of a challenge lately since Faith doesn't hold still too long. We did get one decent picture quickly.

We had Megan and Samuel over for the afternoon last weekend. We made some heart shaped cookies for Valentines. Gracie was soooo excited to see her cousins. She slipped on the steps because she was trying to run downstairs to meet them at the door.

Story time before bed.

Gracie and Faith playing in the kitchen while I was cleaning.

Gracie went through the cupboard and rearranged everything. Faith was her sidekick.

We had lunch with Nick's Aunt Elizabeth the other week. She is such a great hostess. Gracie loves to spend time with her. She especially liked this bunny that was taller then her.

I think they were trying to plan an escape.

Weekend Away

Nick and I enjoyed a weekend away. We went to Lanesboro Saturday and came back Sunday (in time to watch the Super Bowl). It was a short weekend, but very enjoyable. Saturday we stopped at one of our favorite places to eat in Rochester, Newt's, for lunch. We did some shopping at the mall there and then drove on to Lanesboro. We did a four mile candlelight ski that evening. It was so beautiful. They had candles on the trail for two miles and then a bonfire at the end of the trail. Then you turned about around and went back. I was nervous going into it since I'm not a great skier, but there were people of all different skill levels participating. We had supper that night in Whalen at their soup and sandwich dinner. We stayed that night at the Habberstad House and had a great breakfast in the morning. We had taken the truck and it was a good thing since we hit a few bad spots on the way home.

As for the girls: They stayed over at my parents house. Grace did really well I guess. Faith on the other hand didn't nap well. She didn't like sleeping in the pack n play in their spare room so ended getting to nap on Nana's nap:) She is such a light sleeper and isn't used to sleeping other places. It might be a challenge leaving her overnight until she is a bit older. At least Nana and Papa survived and they even said they'd have them over again;)

Pictures!

I finally got around to posting some pictures. I realized though that I need to take more pictures because I didn't have many new ones.

Sorry I didn't get this one rotated. Grace was playing with play-doh the other day. She started making people out of it. I think this was her first creation, uncle Sam. She eventually went on to make almost everyone in the family.

Now that Faith is sitting up pretty good on her own so has graduated to the duck tub. She really enjoys bath time, especially when she gets to take one with Grace. Of course everything is more fun for her if Gracie is involved.

Close up of one of her play-doh creations (not sure who this was).

Faith is pretty good at moving backward, but is still working on going forward. The other day we had her by our closet on the floor when we were getting ready for church. She worked her way to the back of the closet and almost disappeared under Nick's shirts. Of course Gracie had to get in on the picture too. Lately Grace thinks it's fun to imitate Faith.

Same old, same old

Not too much exciting going on in the Peters household lately. The cold weather has been keeping us inside lately during the day.

I've been trying to keep Gracie busy with different activities and games. She is getting better all the time at playing on her own while I work around the house. She is getting more interactive with Faith and tries to play with her.

Faith is growing up so much. She is rolling all over the room now. She can also get from a laying position into a sitting position and is much better at sitting up on her own. She gets up on her hands and knees, but can't quite get the crawling down yet. Although she was very close today so I don't think it will be long. Her hair is getting so long in the front that it hangs into her eyes now so I've been trying to put it up some.

All the cold weather put me in the mood for some new projects. I got our guest bathroom upstairs painted last weekend. I've also started sewing a curtain for Grace's room. It's the first one I've done so I'm not expecting great things. I thought I'd do her room first before I move on the the living room and kitchen.

Out and About

Today we are finally getting some warmer weather. Grace and I got out this afternoon while Faith took a good nap. We hadn't played outside for a few days so we both needed the fresh air.

Faith was in to the doctor for her 6 month check up. She is not at 15lbs 10oz. She did well for getting four shots and one oral vaccine. It is certainly much easier with a baby then it is with a toddler!

While Faith was at the doctor Gracie got to play at Sarah's house. She saw some old daycare friends and of course had a blast. She wasn't ready to leave when I picked her up.

Lately I've been getting antsy. I think I need a new project. Mabye some more painting, or a sewing project?!?

I'll try to get some pictures posted soon. Seems like I never get enough time to do that.

Our Christmas celebrations have come to an end. We had our last celebration on Sunday with the extended Flantz family. It was great to see everyone and catch up.

Faith is flexing her muscles to start walking! Lately she has been rolling all over the floor. I have to keep the gate at the top of stairs closed and anything I don't want her to get into has to get taken off the floor. Gracie seems to get annoyed that her sister can now get to her toys. Little does she know it is only going to get worse once she gets even more mobile. Tonight Faith took the next step and got up on her hands and knees. She was so excited and was rocking like crazy. I remember with Grace that once she got to this point she seemed to move along pretty fast to crawling.
