storytime

We went to storytime at the library this morning. Grace gets so nervous at first, but then she listens intently to the story. She loves to be read to and to look at books. Faith slept the whole time.

Nick has started harvesting the beans so the busy fall season is here. I hope I can survive being a stay at home mom with Nick gone most of the day and evening. At least we live close enough to the farm now that he can come home for lunch. I'm hoping to get the girls out for a ride in the combine soon! Grace liked it last year, but I have a feeling she might be scared this year.

Yesterday mom, Sarah, Megan, Faith and I went shopping at the Albertville outlet center. I had a great time. It was so nice to be able to shop for myself without both the girls. I got everything that I needed so we should be set for this winter! Faith was great. She slept off and on most of the time and she even managed to sleep well that night also.

Gracie got to go out for breakfast with her dad. She had her favorite; pancakes. Then she stayed with grandma Peters for awhile while Nick worked. She got to go to the library with grandma, another one of her favorites!

Faith is getting much more alert lately. One of her favorite pastimes is watching her sister. I have a feeling she is going to be Grace's little sidekick when she is older.

Finally Some Pictures

The last few days I have been busy picking and baking apples. We have two apples trees. One has great apples this year and the other one isn't so good. I'm hoping to get a big batch of applesauce done soon so I can freeze it for this winter. Since I finally convinced Nick to get us a large freezer this year I need to start filling it up!

I am hoping to get pictures up soon. It seems like the girls seldom nap at the same time. Lately Faith has been into taking short 15-20 minute naps. I can't wait till she can take longer naps during the day and she can get on a routine. I guess I shouldn't complain since she has been sleeping through the night.

Grace is starting to interact with Faith more. When Faith gets fussy Grace will go over to her and start talking to her. Of course all she says is "hi bobby hi". Grace can't say Faith and baby comes out more like bobby. Grace is starting to try to say more words. Some she gets right and others aren't even close. "Ham" is used for hand and ham. TT was said yesterday for TV. So much fun to hear her talking!

Joining the world of bloggers

I have reading other people's blogs for a few years now and finally decided to start our own. Maybe I can keep family and friends updated on the happenings in our home and hopefully share some pictures of the girls. I'm not sure how faithfully I will write posts, but now that I'm at home full time I should have a better chance to keeping up with it some.

That I guess is the biggest news around here. I officially quit my job at Catholic Charities and am staying home now. So far I'm enjoying it.
